I went to Nepal with two of my sons, and the 12-day trip organized by Nepal Adventure Trail was absolutely fantastic. The itinerary was diverse and well-balanced, including guided tours of Kathmandu and Pokhara, a thrilling jungle safari on foot in Chitwan, and a breathtaking 3-day trek to the Australian Camp in the Himalayas. We were fortunate to have two superb guides, one for Kathmandu and Chitwan, and another for Pokhara and the trek. Both of them were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. This journey left us deeply impressed and eager to return to Nepal. Highly recommended!Posted on markov40plusTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing EBC trek was organised by Nepal Adventure Trail for us (a group of friends from London) in March 2025. As you can imagine, when there are 8 individuals, 16 different ideas pop ups and the company was accommodating our changes while going through such as change from standard route to Cho La Pass and via Gokyo Lake, arranging helicopter ride back Kathmandu and getting refund to airline ticket from Lukla.... It was an once in lifetime achievement for me and thanks for making my dream true and helping on the way through.Posted on Gregory BolotinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife, our friends, and I had the most unforgettable adventure trip to Mustang, Nepal last year, and it was all thanks to the exceptional organization and accompaniment of Nepal Adventure Trail. This company truly delivered everything they promised, seamlessly blending adventure, comfort and exploration. The 12 days itinerary was perfectly crafted, utilizing jeeps which allowed us to cover significant ground and witness the breathtaking landscapes of the region. The inclusion of a thrilling short rafting experience and hiking added exciting dimension to our trip. What truly set Nepal Adventure Trail apart was their incredible team. Our guide Progi and drivers were not just professionals, they were passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about ensuring every member of our group of 9 had a safe, enjoyable and enriching journey. They handled all logistics with remarkable efficiency, from accommodations to meals. The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek is a 13-day journey into the heart of the Himalayas—where every step brings you closer to some of the most awe-inspiring landscapes on Earth. This trek blends dramatic mountain views, lush rhododendron forests, and warm Gurung and Magar hospitality into a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
Your journey begins in Pokhara, Nepal’s lakeside city, where the mountains feel close enough to touch. After a short drive to the trailhead, the real adventure kicks off. You’ll trek through charming villages like Ghandruk, Chhomrong, and Sinuwa, following ancient stone steps and peaceful river valleys carved by glaciers long ago.
As you climb higher, the air gets crisp and the views open wide. Towering peaks like Machapuchare (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, and the mighty Annapurna I (8,091m) begin to dominate the skyline. The trail winds through forests of bamboo and rhododendron, across swing bridges, and alongside waterfalls and terraced farmlands.
The ultimate highlight is reaching Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m)—a stunning natural amphitheater surrounded by some of the world’s tallest mountains. Watching the sunrise light up the icy faces of Annapurna and Machapuchare is a spiritual experience that stays with you forever.
Along the way, you’ll rest in cozy mountain teahouses, enjoy hearty Nepali meals, and share stories with fellow trekkers under starlit skies. The warmth of the locals and the quiet power of the Himalayas create a balance of adventure and serenity that’s hard to find anywhere else.
On the return, the descent feels lighter—both physically and emotionally—as you retrace your steps through the villages, taking in the scenery with a new sense of appreciation. After a final night in Pokhara, you’ll carry home more than photos—you’ll take memories etched deep in your soul.
This is more than a trek. It’s a journey into nature, culture, and self—the perfect Himalayan escape.

Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to rest or explore the bustling streets of Thamel. In the evening, we’ll brief you about the trek and help with any last-minute gear checks.
After breakfast, travel to Pokhara—either by a scenic drive (6–7 hrs) or a quick 25-minute flight. Enjoy stunning views of the countryside or Himalayas (weather permitting). Once in Pokhara, you can relax by the tranquil Phewa Lake or stroll through the lakeside area.
We begin the journey with a short drive to Ulleri(1.5 hours), the starting point of our trek. From here, we hike through terraced fields, local farms, and beautiful hillside villages, eventually reaching the traditional Gurung village of Ghandruk with panoramic views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare.
Today’s trail leads us downhill to Kimrong Khola and then climbs steadily through forests and ridge-top villages. After a few ups and downs, we reach Chhomrong—a scenic village nestled at the base of the giant Annapurna South, with great views and a peaceful atmosphere.
We descend stone steps from Chhomrong and cross a suspension bridge before entering the dense forest trail to Bamboo. The path is quieter now, surrounded by bamboo groves, waterfalls, and rich greenery. The sound of the river below accompanies us as we trek deeper into the Modi Khola Valley.
As we gain altitude, the forest thins out and the landscapes become more alpine. The trail passes through Dovan and Himalaya, following the river upstream with dramatic cliffs and icy waterfalls. After a steady climb, we reach Deurali, perched just below the entrance to the Annapurna Sanctuary.
A breathtaking day! The trail opens up as we trek past Machapuchare Base Camp (3,700m), then ascend into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary. Surrounded by a 360° amphitheater of peaks—Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machapuchare—we reach ABC. Sunset views are surreal, with golden light bathing the snow-capped giants.
Wake up early to witness the sun rising over Annapurna—it’s a moment you’ll never forget. After breakfast, we begin our descent, retracing our steps through MBC and Deurali, and continuing downhill back to the lush forest setting of Bamboo.
We climb back up to Chhomrong and then take a descending trail to Jhinu Danda. This village is known for its natural hot springs located a short walk below the village. Soak your tired legs in the warm waters by the riverside and unwind under the open sky.
Our final trekking day takes us through charming hillside paths and terraced farmlands back to Nayapul. From there, we drive back to Pokhara. Celebrate your accomplishment with good food, rest, or perhaps a lakeside massage.
Enjoy a full day to relax in Pokhara. You can choose to explore Davis Falls, the World Peace Pagoda, or simply enjoy a coffee by the lake with views of the Annapurna range. Optional paragliding or short hikes available.
After breakfast, we return to Kathmandu. Choose between a scenic drive or a short domestic flight. Once back, enjoy some free time for souvenir shopping or visiting places like Boudhanath or Patan Durbar Square.
Our journey ends here. Depending on your flight schedule, we’ll transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport. You leave Nepal with unforgettable memories of the mountains, the people, and the adventure.

It’s considered a moderate trek. No technical climbing is required, but you’ll need to walk 5–7 hours a day with some steep ascents and descents.
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best seasons for clear skies, pleasant temperatures, and panoramic mountain views.
Hiring a guide is not mandatory but highly recommended, especially for first-time trekkers. A guide ensures safety, manages logistics, and enriches the cultural experience.

Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP)
Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) card
These are arranged for you before the trek.
The base camp is at 4,130 meters (13,550 feet) above sea level.
While altitude sickness is less common on this trek than higher routes, it can still occur. Walking slowly, staying hydrated, and allowing time for acclimatization helps prevent it.
You’ll stay in mountain teahouses—basic but comfortable lodges with twin-sharing rooms, blankets, and hearty home-cooked meals.
Meals include dal bhat (rice, lentils, curry), noodles, soups, momos (dumplings), pasta, pancakes, and eggs. Vegetarian options are widely available.
Yes, you can refill bottles at teahouses or natural sources and purify it using tablets or filters. Bottled water is also available for purchase.
Yes, travel insurance is strongly advised. Make sure it covers high-altitude trekking and emergency evacuation.
Essentials include good hiking boots, layered clothing, a down jacket, sleeping bag, rain gear, toiletries, water bottle, and a headlamp. A detailed packing list is provided upon booking.
Most teahouses offer hot showers and charging for a small fee. It’s wise to carry a power bank for backup.
Wi-Fi is available at some teahouses (for a fee). Mobile coverage is intermittent, but networks like Ncell and NTC may work in certain areas.
Depending on your group size, services, and itinerary, a typical ABC trek ranges from $600 to $1,200. This includes permits, guide/porter services, meals, and accommodation.
No. The last ATMs are in Pokhara, so be sure to carry enough Nepali rupees for the entire trek.
Yes! With a flexible itinerary and proper pacing, the trek can be enjoyed by children and older adults in good health.
Your guide is trained in first aid and emergency response. In serious cases, helicopter evacuation can be arranged, provided your insurance covers it.
