4. What is the difficulty level of Mundhum Trail Trek?

Rated moderate, Mundhum Trail Trek suits fit beginners with 5-7 hour daily ridge walks up to 4,153m at Silichung Peak—no technical skills needed, but expect steep ascents and no extreme altitude sickness risk. It’s less demanding than the Annapurna Circuit but requires endurance for uneven paths.

5. What permits are required for Mundhum Trail Trek?

Only a TIMS (Trekkers’ Information Management System) card ($20-30 USD) is needed for the Mundhum Trail Trek—no national park fees since it’s outside protected areas. Local agencies handle it; future updates may add minor entry fees for Kirat sites, but it’s hassle-free for guided treks.

Mundhum Trail Trek packages start at $1,099 USD per person (group of 2+), covering guides, meals, camping, transport, and permits. Group discounts drop to $899 for 7+; solo adds $200. It’s more affordable than Everest treks due to eastern Nepal’s remoteness—value-packed for cultural immersion.

7. Do I need travel insurance for Mundhum Trail Trek?
