Gear & Preparation

You’ll need high-altitude gear, including double boots, harnesses, helmets, a down suit, ice tools, etc. Rentals are available in Kathmandu. Insurance covering high-altitude helicopter rescue is mandatory.

Itinerary Highlights for Ama Dablam Expedition

Day 1-3: Arrival in Kathmandu, cultural sightseeing, and expedition preparation.

Day 4-10: Fly to Lukla, trek through Namche Bazaar, and acclimatize in the Everest region.

Day 11-15: Trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp, set up camp, and begin acclimatization climbs.

Day 16-25: Establish high camps (Camp 1, Camp 2, and Camp 3) and prepare for the summit push.

Day 26-27: Summit Ama Dablam and return to Base Camp.

Day 28-30: Trek back to Lukla, fly to Kathmandu, and celebrate your achievement.
